This is the coolest thing I've seen in a while. I've actually tried it twice. I did it with what was available, in my case a toilet plunger. Definitely underweighted... but I'm still sore in new places! Cool. I may just spring for a 12 lb. sledge. While I can't imagine doing this as my sole exercise, alternating days shovelgloving/running for a few weeks or even months would be a nice change from lifting weights.
